Before it all started….
Tinke and Maudy were unaware of each other’s existence and doing their own things around the world. Maudy fulfilled an allround marketing position at the sustainable start-up Sit & Heat. She travelled to New Zealand, South-East Asia, Nepal and Sri Lanka, before ending up in Kenya, at the scale-up travel organisation Charlie’s Travels. While studying film at the Academy of Arts Utrecht, Tinke went to Uganda to do a project for Mango Tree Uganda. After also shooting her graduation documentary in Uganda, she found a job at the scale-up travel organisation Charlie’s Travels in Kenya.

Maudy & Tinke met at Charlie’s Travels
They didn’t really know each other that well yet – the most personal contact they had was when Maudy whatsapped Tinke if she knew where to buy a guitar in Nairobi. Later on, Maudy would set out social media, advertisement, YouTube and PR strategies, while Tinke would carry out blog strategies and direct other content creators. Growth!
